Coreopsis (Coreopsis Lanceolata) - Grown from flower seeds, this is a reliable perennial that has a long bloom season. Commonly called Lanceleaf Coreopsis, it is native to a large portion of the United States and is golden colored and a great performer. It can be used in many natural settings, beautification of fields, and in the flower garden as well. This clumping Coreopsis plant produces masses of 2 inch golden yellow, fringed blooms that have a reddish brown eye. The long, shiny lance-shaped leaves are nearly 4 inches long, and the foliage provides a wonderful back-drop for the lovely yellow blooms.

How to grow

How To Grow Coreopsis From Seed: Directly sow Coreopsis seeds outdoors in late fall into a prepared seed bed. Soil should be loosened and weed free. Press the flower seeds into the soil and lightly cover it. Keep the seed moist until germination.

Outdoors, grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Tickseed Coreopsis care includes deadheading the spent flowers and dividing the clumps every 2 - 3 years.
