Ageratum (Ageratum Mexicanum Mix) - This Ageratum seed mix includes colors of pink, blue and pure white that blend nicely together. These annuals are easily established by sowing Ageratum flower seeds indoors and transplanting after danger of frost. Commonly called Floss Flower, this seed variety is earlier and flowers longer than other Ageratum, and it is known for its uniform, compact habit and the longevity of its fuzzy flowers. Ageratum plants are heat tolerant and ideal for edging, borders and growing in containers.
Vigorous and easy to grow, Floss Flower seeds perform best in sites with full sun and average soil. Where summers are hot, plants may flower best in part sun locations. Ageratum flowers are best enjoyed in containers or mixed borders with other brightly colored, sun-loving ornamentals. Ageratum care includes watering regularly through the summer and deadheading to keep the plant blooming. Deadhead also if you do not desire the Ageratum flower seed to spread. It is a liberal self-sower.
